Strength Through Faith: Emirisiana’s Story of Endurance and Gratitude in Qorong’aida

In the close knit community of Qorong’aida, Emirisiana Dafii stands as a pillar of strength, faith, and perseverance. A member of Food for His Children since 2017, she has journeyed through seasons of challenge and triumph, grounded in her favorite verse:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

Today, Emirisiana serves as the Chairperson of her site, leading by example and offering encouragement to others. Her role has not come without hardship, but her unwavering faith has guided her through every test. “God gives me strength,” she says, “and that is how I keep going.”

Together with her husband, Emirisiana has worked hard to build a secure life for their family. Through her work as a Farmer Motivator, she developed advanced agriculture skills that allowed them to increase their harvests, income that helped them build a brick house and furnish it with care. Their home, known locally as the “House of Joy,” is filled with both family and faith.

Ten people live under their roof, including children and grandchildren. The household bustles with life, from two new babies—Aidriana (5 months) and Victor (6 months), to the playful energy of Cicilia (7), Irene (2), and Nestori (2). Of the ten family members, five help on the farm, while Emirisiana and her husband are the main income earners. They farm both one acre of owned land and one acre they rent, tending crops that sustain their large, loving family.

Her faith is at the center of all she does. When asked for prayer requests, Emirisiana smiles and speaks not only of her needs but also of gratitude. She asks for prayer that her last three sons may find good marriages, one of whom will be married next month, and for protection over her family, her home, and her goats. She also prays for her goats to continue to multiply, blessing her household with continued provision.

“We have many challenges,” she says, “but I can do all things through God who strengthens me.”
