Rooted in Faith and Growth: The Boniface Family’s Story in Qorong’aida
In the vibrant community of Qorong’aida, Barikieli Boniface and his wife Neema are building a life of care, beauty, and hope for their growing family. Married with two young children—Shedrach (born 2019) and Deogratha (born 2021)—the couple is now joyfully expecting their third child, due in December. Their home is filled with both love and purpose as they continue to strengthen their household through faith and hard work.
From the moment you approach their property, it’s clear how much pride they take in caring for their land. Bushes line the front of their buildings, carefully planted and watered—not for goat feed, but simply for beauty. It’s a small but meaningful reflection of their gratitude and stewardship of the blessings they’ve received.
The Boniface family earns their living primarily through farming, tending crops that help sustain their household and community. They also keep chickens and maintain a well-organized goat shed, which they are currently renovating. Their yard includes a fence, dish rack, and banana trees, each detail showing their commitment to a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment.
Access to water is one of their biggest daily challenges. To provide for their home and animals, they use a cow cart to transport two drums of water from a nearby source. The trip costs 4,000 Tanzanian shillings for the water to be filled and delivered, lasting anywhere from three to seven days depending on the weather. Despite the effort and cost, the family remains optimistic that one day they’ll have a water tap of their own, making life easier and their farm more productive.
As they look ahead, their prayers are full of hope. Barikieli and Neema dream of building a modern house, one that will provide safety and comfort for their growing family. They ask for prayers for a safe pregnancy and delivery, protection for their children, and continued blessings over their education and future.
“We thank God for what we have,” says Neema. “Each season brings challenges, but also blessings. We trust that God will continue to help our family grow strong.”
Through their diligence, faith, and commitment to learning, the Boniface family embodies the heart of FFHC’s mission—empowering families to grow in both faith and livelihood, one step at a time.
