Faith Through the Storm: Scholastica’s Journey Toward Healing and Hope

In the quiet sub-village of Qorong'aida, Scholastica has been part of Food for His Children since the program first began in her area. Her journey has not been an easy one, but it is a powerful testament to perseverance, faith, and the healing that comes when a community chooses to walk beside someone through their pain.

For years, Scholastica has carried heavy burdens within her family. She has often found herself as the primary provider, working tirelessly to care for their home and children while facing emotional hardship and financial strain.

At one point, the couple's three children had all completed primary school and were ready to continue on to Form 2, but their education came to a halt due to challenging family circumstances. Still, Scholastica never gave up hope that God could change her family's story.

Recognizing her pain and strength, FFHC's Pastor Tumbay and the ministry team came alongside her, offering family counseling and prayer. Through faith-centered sessions focused on forgiveness, healing, and restoration, Scholastica began to rediscover peace within herself. The team continues to pray with her—for healing within her household, for the safety of her home, and for the restoration of her family.

Despite the challenges, Scholastica continues to show remarkable courage. Her home stands as a symbol of quiet endurance, and her heart reflects the grace of a woman who refuses to stop believing in redemption.

"She has faced more than most," an FFHC team member shared, "but her faith remains unshaken. She reminds us that even in the hardest seasons, God is still at work." Through consistent encouragement, biblical teaching, and community support, Scholastica is finding strength again—one prayer, one day, one act of faith at a time.
