Meet Samson Ismael: A Passionate Advocate for Transformation at Food for His Children

At the heart of Food for His Children (FFHC) is a team of dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to transform lives in rural Tanzania. One of these incredible leaders is Samson Ismael, our Project Coordinator and Intake Specialist in Karatu. Samson’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to empowering families to break free from poverty.

A Calling to Serve

Growing up in a poor community, Samson witnessed firsthand the struggles families face when opportunities are scarce. Instead of letting these challenges discourage him, they fueled his desire to be part of the solution. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from St. Augustine University of Tanzania, where he graduated in 2013.

Samson’s introduction to FFHC came shortly after, when he began volunteering in 2014. Captivated by the organization's mission to empower families through goat farming, business education, and community development, he officially joined the team as a full-time staff member in 2016.

Empowering Communities with "Each One Teach One"

One of the core principles that drives Samson’s work is the "Each One Teach One" philosophy—mentoring individuals so they can, in turn, teach others. His compassion, encouragement, and natural ability to connect with people of all backgrounds make him an exceptional leader in the field.

As an Intake Specialist, Samson is often the first point of contact for families joining FFHC. He listens to their stories, understands their challenges, and helps design a pathway for them to achieve economic independence. His work goes beyond administration—he builds genuine relationships with families, celebrating their victories and guiding them through struggles.

A Leader Who Inspires Change

Samson is more than just a coordinator—he is a mentor, advocate, and motivator. He has a unique ability to bring unity in difficult situations, ensuring that every family feels heard, valued, and supported. His sense of humor, leadership, and deep faith make him a pillar of strength in the community.

One of Samson’s greatest joys is seeing families achieve their goals and take steps toward a brighter future. Whether it's helping a farmer build a successful agribusiness, supporting a mother as she learns financial literacy, or guiding a family through challenges with wisdom and kindness, he is always there—lifting others up.

Why Samson’s Work Matters

At Food for His Children, we believe that true transformation happens when people are empowered to reach their full God-given potential. Samson embodies this belief in everything he does. His work is a testament to the power of faith, service, and the unwavering belief that every person has the potential to thrive.

Join us in celebrating Samson Ismael—an incredible leader, friend, and champion for change in Karatu!
